He let me transform his room into my gallery during my artsy-fartsy phase. The drawings are still taped to the walls when we stayed there last summer, much to my chagrin.
He conceded to have his ringtone changed to ‘Six Minutes’ during my JoBro phase. And it stayed that way for a year even after I got over them.
He brought me to the city of my dreams during my Francophile phase… which is on going.
He used to sing the National Anthem to me and my sibs as a lullaby. Now we just watch TV till we all fall asleep.
He’s the best person to have a food trip with. Though we have to be careful nowadays, he’s not getting any younger and our family has a history of diabetes and high blood pressure. Oh well, seeing as we only see each other a few times every year, we make exceptions ;)
He allows me to buy books online. (To Mom’s exasperation. And yes, I just had to put that in.)
He’s the nicest person in the whole world. When we went to Disneyland last summer, a girl had scraped her knee and was bleeding, Dad immediately got Bro’s baby wipes and offered it to her, without being asked. He’s naturally caring.
He and I love to laugh at the same things. Mababaw kasi ang kaligayahan.
He’s cool. A month ago, my friends and I were mixing drinks in our dining room and he was the taste tester on whether or not we should add more alcohol or juice. He said we should’ve added apple slices and volunteered to give his Johnny Walker for the occasion. (A drink that will only be opened during New Year.)
He doesn’t smoke, do drugs, gamble, swear excessively, and hit girls and children. He’s practically vice-less except for spending too much (on wine) and getting in arguments with the MMDA once in a while :))
He loves his family. He loves my mom though she can be too much of a nagger. He loves my siblings though they can be headaches migraines. He loves me even though I am… well, Me. =))
I LOVE YOU PAPA! THANK YOU FOR BEING THE BEST DAD IN THE WHOLE WORLD!
