Things I Love Thursday #4

Thursday Dinners with Friends! Yanna, Maui and I finally managed to drag Miggy with us today. We ate at Mercato @ Techno Hub for the first time. I regret not bringing my camera. Everything looked delicious - especially the cakes, the ice cream, the big burgers… nom. There weren’t any tables left, so we ate a la Gossip Girl style at the steps of Techno Hub. I tried the Hungsilog - Hungarian Sausage with Egg and Rice - and I couldn’t finish all of it! I blamed it on my nerves earlier, and the fact that the sausage was huge. #sulit

Sir’s witty ‘examples’ Therapist = The Rapist, Usery = U SERious? Not so funny written down but given the circumstances earlier (I hadn’t read the other cases and I was nervous he’d call me), it was a mood killer, and I mean that in a good way.

YES. When things work out your way. “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3 // I can’t say this enough, but I have the most hardworking team ever! <3

Wednesday afternoon.

… was the penultimate day and impromtu sembreak ender slash stress reliever kind of day. After two nights of endless studying for CRes 101 and Comm 130 finals, I needed a break before the all-nighter later that day - the eventful evening that won’t be written here.

After the grueling Comm 130 finals that morning, Yanna, Maui and I went to eat a late lunch at Mashita, yet again. No pictures were taken as we were all starving and I, apparently, had loads of stories to tell and rants to… rant.

Then we headed back to CMC to attend the DERP of the third year CommRes students. Can I just say it was a really really great feeling to understand what they were talking about. After CRes 101, I feel like a legit Comm Res major now. Thank you Sir Solis! :D

The Billboarlesque studied about the Filipinos’ reception of “sexy” billboards found along Edsa.

After the event, we headed to the oh-so-posh Chocolate Kiss Cafe! We needed to unwind, get sugar overload, and rant - or maybe that’s just me since they’re already on their sembreak and I still have Film 12 to worry about.

ChocoKiss isn’t exactly, student-budget friendly so we decided to just try out their famous cakes.

Hi Yanna!

Yanna got the famous Devil’s Food Cake and it was heavenly.

Maui and Miggy ordered the Texas Square Sundae. Miggy was to supposed to get the Sour Cream Cheesecake since he says it’s a must-try according to Spot.ph but it was unavailable.

I got the Blueberry Cheesecake. Mom would be so jealous if she found out.

We are so ready for sembreak.

(But I still had an all-nighter film editing session later that day so…)

Today…

… is not my first day of college.

But it feels as if it already is. :) Bandzz, Estelle and I went to CSB to pick up Maxx, Carllyn and Mariel. But before the sticky and sweaty ride on the MRT and peanut-smelling LRT, Estelle and I had our ears pierced :))

We picked up Maxx first since her class ended early. We even met her new friends :) Unbelievably, we got to enter CSB even if we aren’t students… and Estelle was even wearing Havs! :)) We saw our other batchmates @ CSB: Binky, Maji, Janine and Jam.

After an icky encounter riding the LRT, we decided to take the jeep home. The party, bar-ish jeep with it’s unbelievable sound system. But even riding public transportation didn’t stop our crazy conversations and jokes. :)

We bought our food @ Jollibee and headed to Carllyn’s house to tambay.

After 2 ipis incidents, the usual laughtrips that make my eyes water and stomach hurt and planning for our Greenhills trip on Friday, we headed home.

Of course, the laughter continued in Mariel’s car… and our topic became a bit private. :))

Today was amazing. A great way to start my last week of summer and to celebrate our friendship beyond high school. I love you friends! Thank you God for this wonderful day spent with them!
